90th Anniversary of Dáil Éireann
20 January 2009
This year marked the 90th Anniversary of the first meeting of Dáil Éireann; the historic event took place on 21st of January 1919 in the Mansion House, Dublin. To mark the significant occasion, a joint sitting of both Houses of Oireachtas took place in the Round Room of the Mansion House on Tuesday, 20th January 2009. Members of the Dáil and Seanad attended together with invited guest. The Ceann Comhairle, Cathaoirleach, Taoiseach, other party leaders and political representatives addressed the meeting.
