National Ploughing Championships 2008
25 - 27 September 2008
The Houses of Oireachtas was transported to the National Ploughing Championships last year when Houses of Oireachtas “Speakers Corner” style event was staged at the National Ploughing Championships.
The event featured Government Ministers as well as TDs and Senators from across the political spectrum speaking on a range of the most topical agricultural and rural issues of the day. Members of the public were also given the opportunity to directly question the politicians on their speeches and give their views on these important matters.
As well as speakers corner, live Dail proceedings were transmitted to the event and thousands of members of the public entered a competition to win for launch for two in Leinster House.
